GuardianStack - Shopify App
Last Updated: 5 March 2026
1. What does GuardianStack do?
GuardianStack scans your Shopify store for common UK GDPR and ICO-related compliance gaps, then gives you prioritised actions and workflow support to fix them.
2. Is GuardianStack legal advice?
No. GuardianStack provides software guidance and templates. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
3. What data do you access from Shopify?
We access the minimum store data needed to run scans and generate compliance outputs, including policy content, installed apps, scripts/tags, and selected order/customer metadata for relevant workflows.
4. Do you store customer personal data?
We do not retain customer data for general scanning.
Limited customer/order fields may be stored when you explicitly run specific workflows (for example, retention exports), in line with our published retention windows.
5. How long does a scan take?
Most scans complete quickly for typical Shopify stores, and timings vary by store size, app footprint, and API response times.
6. Which regulations do you map findings against?
Findings are mapped to UK GDPR / DPA 2018 and PECR obligations where applicable, with plain-English explanations to help merchants act.
7. How is billing handled?
Billing is managed through Shopify billing for the app subscription.
8. How do I cancel and remove data?
You can uninstall the app from Shopify Admin at any time. Uninstall initiates token revocation and deletion workflows according to our Privacy Policy.
